Throughout our 69-year history, Burkett Sod has provided quality grass to East Texas.

In 1953, Jay Burkett bought his first truck and began hauling roses to his home in the heart of Flint, Texas. Over the next 30 years, he sold roses, sod, and stone to the community. Jay's sons, Robert and Frank Burkett, continued to grow the family business by hauling and selling several types of sod from South Texas, North Texas, Oklahoma, etc. 

 

Now third generation owned, Bryan and Brad Burkett continue the family legacy by expanding to retail and widening their delivery reach.
